Antique Russian Amber Beaded Necklace. Amber necklace of both dark and medium golden brown graduated spherical beads. Each spherical bead alternates with a small oval amber separator bead. The beads on each side of the central bead are matched in color and size to the bead opposite for a symmetrical appearance. The central bead is impressively large and beautifully egg-shaped of deep brown color with some glowing translucency. The necklace's overall design exemplifies the courtly formality of an East European aesthetic. Necklace 24" long. Russia, ca. 18th-19th century. Estimated Value $400 - 600
