$20 National Bank Note. Waterbury NB of Waterbury, CT. Ch. 780. Fr. 427. PCGS-C Good 6 Apparent. Chartered in February of 1865, this is the only First Charter note known from this long serving institution. While definitely well circulated, the pen signatures still survive of Augustus Blakesley as Cashier and Augustus Chase as President. Both men served in these capacities from 1865 unitl 1895.
