Lot 595

1804 S-266a R4+ VG7. Sharpness F12 but covered with light to moderate roughness mixed with dull scratches. No verdigris, and the toning is an attractive and mostly glossy medium brown and light chocolate with darker steel brown toning on the highpoints. EDS, Breen state I, before any die cracks or cud breaks. The date and legends are complete and easily readable. Looks nicer than the description might imply, but it certainly has significant deficiencies.
Estimated Value $1,500-UP.
From the Norman Wolfe collection.

Realized $1,469
