1851 N-43 R5 PCGS graded MS65 Red & Brown, CAC Approved. Lustrous mint red fading to light steel brown with 75% of the original mint color remaining. The only mark is a small tick on the rim above star 4. A beautiful cent, near gem status. EDS, die state a. The fine die lines from the dentils on either side of the date are clear. A premium example of this tough die variety, and it comes with an important provenance. Our grade is MS64+, CC#2 in the Grellman census. The attribution and Twin Leaf Collection provenance are noted on the PCGS label. Pop 2; tied for the finest MSRB examples graded at both services for the variety. Estimate Value $3,000 - UP
