Beautiful collection of 8 vintage original, double-weight, gelatin silver prints ca. 1915- 1920s. Areas include five stunning photos of Yosemite, San Bernadino, Redwoods in Humboldt County and Donner Lake, California. These very much appear to be the work of John Putnam and Carlton Valentine, at the very least favor their extraordinary talent in capturing the state's natural beauty. Their works frequently were the image subjects of postcards. 8 7¼" to 9 x 14". In overall excellent condition, very well archived over the years. All suitable for framing. Estimated Value $250 - 500
