Lot 328

1870 Liberty Seated Quarter Dollar. PCGS graded Proof 65 Cameo. Snow white at the center of the obverse, with yellow gold and rose hues, followed by midnight blue at the rim. On the reverse, gold around the periphery, bright at the center. A few wispy hairlines can be found with extreme lighting, but the eye appeal vastly outweighs them. An early strike, and hence the devices were very frosty so this has the desirable "cameo" designation. PCGS has only graded 10 cameos of this date, 9 in PR-64, and this one at the top and alone as PR-65! A gem that will find many eager buyers whenever it is offered.
Estimated Value $2,500-UP.

Realized $3,220
