Beautiful and Fine Victorian Era Cameo 14K Yellow Gold Brooch Boasting an Exquisitely Carved Goddess with Security Chain in and small Pearls. Victorian era cameo brooch of exceptional quality in 14K yellow gold. Cameo is carved in high relief with remarkable detail especially in the braids of the hair and folds of fabric cascading of the shoulders. Brooch is surrounded with six pearls and has a security chain with attached safety pin. The back is thinly glass backed, with the oval "frame" easily removed when pin back is open to hold a lock of hair as was the custom or at present, a small photo of a beloved husband/father. Total gross weight of 20.5 grams 1¾ x 1½" and in excellent condition. Estimated Value $1,000 - 1,200
