1818 Capped Bust Quarter Dollar. Good-5. Light silvery gray in color and well balanced. The reverse die is shattered, with heavy die cracks from the N to the wing, another through the second T of STATES through the eagle's beak into the shield below, another down the first A of AMERICA to the wing. The reverse die was in several different plains and levels as these cracks developed, making for a fascinating coin to study.
