Lot 289

1839. No drapery. PCGS graded MS-64. Well struck in general with a few areas of minor softness on Liberty's high points and the left side of the eagle. This is typically seen on this early Liberty Seated design for the half dollars. Lovely blue and gold toning on both sides. Only 100,000 struck, and this one is certainly near the very top of those known today. A numismatic delight! Pop 13; 5 finer, 4 in 65, 1 in 65+. (PCGS # 6230) Estimated Value $25,000 - UP

Unsold
