Lot 236

1850 N-7 R2 PCGS graded MS65 Brown, CAC Approved. Frosty light olive and medium steel brown with 10% of the obverse and 35% of the reverse showing faded mint red. The only notable marks are a spot off the end of the nose and another in the dentils below the 0 in the date. The reverse is mark-free. MDS, die state b, with fine die flowlines covering the fields. Our grade is MS63+. A nice cent that comes with a very nice provenance. The attribution and COL Ellsworth Collection provenance are noted on the PCGS label. PCGS population 3; 1 finer in 66BN.
