1846. PCGS graded AU-55. David Akers says this is one of the most underrated dates in the the entire Coronet Eagle series. CoinFacts agrees and notes that perhaps as many as 105 distinct coins exist for this years mintage--that's a tiny number. Hence if you need a handsome example of this date, be warned, not many come up from year to year, and this pleasing AU-55 will undoubtedly be scooped up by someone who knows these facts.
