1853-C $1 Gold Liberty. NGC graded MS-62. Mostly untoned. It is not all gold that glareth says Geoffrey Chaucer, who wrote in a funny English several hundred years ago, but he probably wasn't looking at this bright golden 1853-C gold dollar. Had he done so, he might have noticed its marginally weak impression left by the rebound of the (possibly dilapidated) dies. All the same, the thought of owning a full Mint quality 1853-C gold dollar goes a long way. Total of 11,515 coins minted. Pop 10; 16 finer.
