Lot 1624
Miscellaneous, Balance of Deke Slayton Family Collection. An interesting lot of odds and ends including 1) a cassette tape of the original Mercury Astronaut's Press Conference, 2) a cassette tape of the ASTP Reception, 3) two cassettes marked "Russian 36-41" and "48-54" (language studies?), 4) a NASA "D. K. Slayton" card desk name plate, 5) a 1991 Jimmy Doolittle Fellow award from the Aerospace Education Foundation of the Air Force Association, 6) a black and white photo of Doolittle with an autograph on the reverse (his?), 7) a 1995 handwritten note from Wally Schirra to Bobbie Slayton, 8) a gold colored Russian medallion and 9) a 1991 Reno Air Races money clip engraved "N.C.A.R. / Reno 1991 / Pilot" and the initials "D. K.S." An interesting lot in fairly good condition.
