Lot 154

1846 N-14 R2 Tall Date with Repunched 1 VF35. Ten points sharper but there are several dull rim nicks on both sides. Otherwise the surfaces are smooth and the eye appeal is excellent. The earlier rim cud from star 3 to star 4 is weak and the first rim cud below the 18 in the date is not visible. CC#2 of this very rare die state in the Grellman census. Estimated Value $200 - UP
Ex Henry T. Hettger ($385)-the RES Collection.
