STS-91, 1998, FLOWN "Retirement Ceremony" Nametag (2.75x5.75") This yellow/white nametag was flown for the consignor, Al Rochford, in honor of his 41 years of NASA service during which he buckled the astronauts into their capsules and worked as a spacesuit technician with the astronauts in training. Included with the nametag is a handwritten letter from Wendy Lawrence, Mission Specialist on the flight AND an official NASA presentation certificate that says, in part: "This Retirement Ceremony nametag was flown aboard the United States Space Shuttle Discovery on the ninth docking flight of the Shuttle-Mir program for Al Rochford…". Quite an honor for the man and a tribute to the esteem in which he was held by the astronauts.
Estimated Value $250 - 350.
