Kennedy, John Fitzgerald: Typed Letter #2 Signed as Congressman from Massachusetts Regarding a Constituent's Request to The Civil Service (1917-1963) Typed letter signed by John Kennedy, 1 page, 9 x 6¼" dated September 19, 1950 as the Congressman of the 11th District of Massachusetts on official letterhead. There are three related letters by Kennedy regarding an Irma Rossman seeking employment within the Civil Service in this auction. This is the second letter from the collection.
Kennedy is responding to a female constituent's request to be employed as a Research Psychologist at the US Naval Submarine Base in Connecticut and that he is enclosing a communication by Lt. George F. Jubb, USN Board of US Civil Service-Examiners on the matter. (Vintage original carbon copy of Jubb's letter to Kennedy is included in this lot) Evidently the woman was deemed ineligible as she failed to show any specific training in the field. Kennedy has signed in black fountain pen ink, with original envelope included. Near to mint condition. Estimated Value $900 - UP
