War-date Signatures as Prime Minister and President on a "War & Navy Departments V-Mail Service Official Business" envelope, 3¼" x 4¾", postmarked "U.S. Postal Service No. 1 / Dec 14 / 11AM / 1943," n.p., n.d. Boldly signed in black ink by both leaders. The envelope has overall toning and a few spots at lower edge. Churchill often visited the White House during the war, staying two and three weeks at a time. The two men met in person nine times, including two famous meetings with Joseph Stalin at Teheran and Yalta. The close relationship of Churchill and Roosevelt resulted in a degree of cooperation between the British and the Americans that was unprecedented.
