1831 N-8 R3 Large Letters PCGS graded MS64+ Red & Brown, CAC Approved. Beautiful bright original mint red fading to medium brown and steel on the devices with more than half the original mint color remaining. No spots or stains, only a few minor contact marks. The notable ones are a collection of ticks at the lower point of star 4, a nick on the bottom of the eye, and a collection of tiny abrasions between star 13 and the curl. None of these marks is distracting and this cent has great eye appeal. Looks like a gem cent to the unaided eye. MDS showing a die crack through UNITED-ST but no cud. Graded MS65 in the Wright-Bland condition census. Our grade is MS63. Comes with a nice provenance. The attribution and Masters-Ahumada provenance are noted on the PCGS label.
