Group of Indian Peace Medals and Money of the American Indians. A 7-piece lot of various late 19th - early 20th century cast Peace Medals with various beads and teeth attached. We note original antique millefiore beads struck to a cast silver Jefferson Indian Peace Medal; Elk's teeth, a common Indian currency in Idaho, Montana and Wyoming worn by Arapaho women and attached to a cast bronze John Adams medal; We note other Peace Medals strung with porcelain wampum, and blue cut-glass trade beads, introduced by the Russians that served as curency on the Northwest Coast at the turn of the ninetheenth century. Also included is a mint state 1925 Lexington-Concord 50¢ in the original box of issue. Total of 7 strung Peace Medals plus one commemorative half. SOLD AS IS. Estimate Value $750 - UP
