1916-D. PCGS graded MS-64. Lightly toned and well struck with ample luster in the fields. This is the first year of issue, and not many survive this well preserved for collectors today (PCGS # 6567) .

1917-D. Mint mark on obverse. PCGS graded MS-65. Mostly untoned with bright silver dominating the surface. Outstanding quality for this early date Walking Liberty half, as few were saved that quality for Gem status today. The strike is sharp and the fields are pleasing with little more than a couple of tiny scuffs found when closely examined. There is a small patch of russet toning on the left obverse edge, lighter traces are noted elesewhere. A nice coin that any collector will long appreciate for its charming frost and luster. Pop 74; 8 finer, 3 in 65+, 5 in 66. (PCGS # 6570) .

The fields are super clean and free of all but a few tiny nicks, far and away finer than usually encountered on this scarce early mintmarked date. An opportunity for the advanced specialist to secure an excellent specimen of this tough issue. Pop 118; 55 finer, 5 in 64+, 44 in 65, 6 in 66 (PCGS # 6581) .
