Undated "Time Increases His Fame" - Washington medal. Baker-91D, Julian-PR-27. NGC graded MS-63 Brown. Red bronze, 27 mm. These medals were struck after 1861 with the obverse die prepared by Wiliam Kneass, U.S. Mint chief engraver from 1824 to 1840. The reverse die was engraved around 1860. Rarely offered and quite attractive.

1859 Washington "Pro Patria" Medal. Baker-268A. NGC graded MS-65 Red & Brown. Copper, 31 mm, first obverse with reeded edge. A pretty successful portrait of Washington and straightforward design by Robert Lovett. The medal was ordered by Philadelphia coin dealer Edward Cogan, and was issued in silver, copper, bronze, and white metal. According to the catalog, this first obverse die was stolen on December 14, 1859, and therefore making this type more interesting. Perfectly struck with prooflike surfaces on both sides. A needle sharp example with original violet-fiery toning.

1861 "Oath of Allegiance" - Washington medal. Baker-279B, Julian-CM-2, Rarity 5. NGC graded MS-62 Brown. Bronze, 31 mm. According to the catalog, these medals were struck at the mint in silver, copper, bronze, aluminum, and yellow bronze after all mint employees had taken an oath of allegiance to the Union after the outbreak of the civil war. A beautiful medal bearing a high relief portrait of Washington. A quite historic pieces and always popular among collectors.

  1876 U.S. Centennial Medal. Julian-CM-11. NGC graded MS-65 Brown. Bronze, 58 mm. The large format of this very popular type. Designed by William Barber, about 7,000 of these large bronze medals were struck. The reverse design of rising Liberty with unsheathed sword was one of the iconic pattern of the whole series, and therefore makes the relatively low mintage medal highly sought after. An example in this high grade is always highly sought after by collectors. Pop 4; 1 finer in 67.

The obverse depicts Columbus paying homage to King Ferdinand and Queen Isabella with people and products from the New World, and the reverse shows the scene of Columbus landing in the New World. A well designed art piece. The medal is in UNC condition with even toning.

  1904 Louisiana Purchase Expo medal. Hendershott-30-40. NGC graded MS-64. Bronze, 63.5 mm, round type. A masterpiece designed by Adolph A. Weinman, approved and struck at the U. S. Mint. This medal is among the most important American numismatic art pieces created in the early 20th century. There are totally five levels of medals struck carrying this design, and each one in a different shape. A total of only 10,000 medals were made and it's getting more and more difficult to locate a nice example in today's market. This presented piece was boldly struck with no visible mark on both sides. Worth a premium for the beauty.

A large format medal designed by De Paulis and struck in Paris with a cornucopia as its mint mark. The obverse depicts four allegorical figures, representing Europe, Asia, South America, and North America respectively. The reverse bears a much simpler design with only a four-line inscription "St. Louis 1904 America Welcomes The World".

1915 Pan-Pacific Expo Commemorative Award Medal. Bronze, 38.1 mm. Engraved and awarded to Katherine M. Ball. This special elegant design was struck in gold, silver, and bronze. It is believed that the gold issues were dedicated to heads of countries that displayed at the expo, silver issues were presented to states that displayed at the event, while the bronze ones were issued to specific organizations and groups. A rarely offered item of this world famous event in 1915. The medal is in Gem UNC condition. Housed in the original box as issued.
