1810 S-282 R2 Turban Head. PCGS graded AU-55. CAC Approved. Choice frosty steel brown and chocolate with golden light brown faded down from mint color showing in protected areas. No roughness or verdigris, only a few trivial contact marks, including a small rim nick left of star 6 and a tiny nick right of star 13. MDS, Breen state III. The obverse is properly centered on the planchet but the reverse is misaligned slightly to K-2. Called EF45 and tied for CC#7 in the Noyes census, photo #36857. Our grade is EF45. A choice, problem-free Turban Head cent. The attribution and Paul Gerrie provenance are shown on the PCGS label. Pop 1; 2 finer, 1 in 58, 1 in 62. Estimated Value $4,000-UP

1812 S-291 R2 Turban Head, Small Date F12. Glossy chocolate brown and steel. An attractive cent, void of any hint of corrosion or verdigris. Just minor contact marks, including a hairline scratch from star 4 to the neck and a horizontal nick in the leaves under M in AMERICA. MDS. Estimated Value $250-UP

1814 S-295 R1 Turban Head, Plain 4 VF25+. Glossy chocolate brown with a couple small splashes of lighter steel brown toning on both sides. Smooth and attractive, the only mark being a thin nick low on the neck. MDS, Breen state IV, with a die clashmark at the throat but no crumbling. The die crack arcing from star 11 to the 8 is faint. A nice cent, close to VF30. Estimated Value $750-UP

1814 S-295 R1 Turban Head, Plain 4 G6 Counterstamped Brunk I-27. Choice glossy chocolate brown and steel. The only mark is a small dig over the second 1 in the date. M-LDS. Stamped "J.IGGETT" across the center of the obverse, the Brunk I-27 variety. Nothing more is known about the stamper. Estimated Value $50-UP
