Large, Magnificent Feldspar and Granite Column Specimen with Remarkable Crystal Cluster From Morocco. A significant mineral specimen from Morocco of feldspar and granite in a natural tapering columnar shape. Absolutely unique is the explosion of crystals at top and some trailing down one side. Know this is one dazzling and unique piece that measures 18 x 6 x 6" and as it exceeded in weight our scale, it's about 30 pounds. Could use a better custom fitted stand, but this remarkable specimen will dazzle a mineral collector of every level. Overseas buyers do take note of the weight in consideration of shipping. Outstanding 15 Pound Specimen of Pyrite, Fantastic Natural Crystal Formations. An impressive large cabinet specimen of pyrite that simply dazzles. This example has a wonderful natural formation of interlocking iron sulfide crystals in a compelling organic shape full of recesses and bridges. Commonly called "fools gold" given its color and appearance, this is far from a foolish example of this fantastic mineral. It absolutely impresses in its gleam and formation and would make for a significant addition to any collector or decor. 8½ x 12½ x 6" and 15.2 pounds. Estimate Value $1,500 - 2,500

Very Fine 9 lb. Rutilate Quartz Crystal Specimen from Brazil. Wonderful example of a large rutilated quartz specimen which is transparent with yellow rutile inclusions that appear as if hair-like growths. These inclusions vary greatly but usually appear like thin golden hairs criss-crossing or forming starburst patterns in dense formations. An incredible effect as if the entire specimen were a small tank of water and these inclusions merely floating in this transparent matrix. Specimen measures 9 x 8½ x 1", with edges and surfaces polished to a smooth finish. At least 75% of the specimen have these inclusions, the quartz a lovely light clear smoke color. Beautiful large cabinet specimen from a collection assembled 30 years ago. Estimate Value $700 - UP

Impressive 30 lb. Pyramidal Calcite and Mordenite Specimen from India. A very handsome, tabletop or shelf specimen of pyramidal calcite and mordenite from Aurangabad, Maharashtra, India. Measuring 7 x 17 x 11" and boasting six substantial crystals that dot the matrix, this piece was given to us from a collection amassed decades ago. Petrified Rainbow Colored Wood Sphere. This 620 gram (nearly 1½ lbs.) 2¾" agatized and polished sphere, made from petrified wood from the Araucarioxylon tree, displays a rainbow of colors as a result of the many different minerals from the volcanic soil that permeated the wood over millions of years. This exceptionally colorful sphere has a wonderful palette ranging from subtle beiges and browns to striking oranges and reds. Araucarioxylon arizonicum is an extinct 225-million-year-old conifer tree well known to visitors to the Painted Forest National Park and chosen as the state fossil of Arizona. Each aquamarine crystal range from 4½ to 8 inches in length and 1½ inches thick. Overall specimen measures 6 x 10 x 7" and weighs almost 19 pounds. Aquamarine can be seen on all sides and is lovely. Wonderful large cabinet specimen of Moroccan selenite formed by a combination of water wind and sand in salt-water basins and the evaporation that occurred over thousands of years. The crystal formation in a floral pattern is why these example of selenite is called "desert rose". This specimen is quite nice as the formations are relatively unbroken, the petal-like formations in full bloom and the shape quite free-form. Comes with stand, specimen measures. 10 x 9 x 4".
