Grand silver presentation trophy with inlaid 19th century German thalers and Deutsche marks, bearing the inscription "Deutsches Centenar Sportfest 17 Juni 1897" around the rim and "Ehrenpreis Herrn-Trabfahren zu Carl S Horst" around the foot -- a prize presented at the German Centennial Sports Festival of 1897. Magnificent 9 Piece Alberto Fornari Coffee and Tea Set with Tray. In 1896 Alberto Fornari started his silver business steps away from the famous Campo de Fiori in Rome. Fornari was especially well known for his large silver objects he made and sold. One of Rome’s earliest silversmiths, the Fornari name was synonymous with quality silver flatware, trays and sizable Italian silver decorative objects. Offered is one of his incredible sterling silver tea sets with tray. The weight of the individual pieces and craftsmanship is quite impressive. Sterling silver pieces include an 18 x 25" tray (only slight surface scratches to finish) water kettle and detachable warmer 16 x 10", coffee pot 10 x 9", tea pot 9 x 8", sugar bowl 6 x 5½", creamer 5½ x 6" trash pot 4 x 4½" and small chocolate pot 3 x 4". In very fine, clean condition and with no monograms. The most impressive tea set we have ever offered, 395 troy ounces. Estimate Value $7,000 - 9,000

Introduced by Reed & Barton in 1907 and designed by Ernest Meyers, Francis I silverware quickly became a favorite of Presidents and the great hostesses of the early 20th century. This Renaissance-inspired flatware pattern has an ornate handle that is decorated with scrollwork, leaves, blossoms, and fruit boasting superior craftsmanship. Place setting includes 12 forks, knives, spoons and dessert as well as one serving spoon, one slotted spoon, one butter knife, one serving fork, one gravy ladle and one sugar/nut spoon. Sterling Silver 1st Place Trophy Goblet, 1902, During British Occupation of India. Beautiful sterling silver goblet with high relief of elephants, tigers, trees, men on horseback and palm trees surround this goblet that is inscribed Bnagalore Assault-At-Arms 1902 First Prize "Tentpegging" Captain E. Jollie. Bangalore is the capital of Karnataka in India and this award came just after a plague killed 3500 in the city and the British Governor-General opened Victoria Hospital and brought many improvements to the city and area including electricity and the motor car. Goble is 8 x 4" and weighs 12 ozt. For collectors of antique silver, British history or vintage trophies, this is a nice piece. Estimate Value $150 - 250

Three 19th Century Silver Pieces Including Child's Cup from Tiffany & Co and One Perfume Bottle w/ 14K Gold Stopper. Four antique sterling silver pieces. The most intriguing is a beautiful sterling silver child's cup from Tiffany & Co. dated 1878 one of the earliest pieces from this legendary company we have ever sold. Cup has a wonderful relief surrounding the base of the cup of children playing in Spring with impressive detailing along top and handle. Cup is inscribed to Hugh Auchincloss Born December 28th, 1878 no doubt a celebratory gift to his parents. Base is inscribed from Uncle Hugh with the Tiffany & Co mark and stamped sterling silver. Hugh Auchincloss and his son were both from very respected families and celebrated surgeons in their day on the East Coast. Also included is a 19th century German silver bowl stamped 800, German silver cup with inset coin from J Wagner & Sohn stamped 800 and a US made 19th century Victorian perfume bottle of cut crystal and 14K yellow gold stopper. All these antiques impress and make for a fine collection of treasures. Silver pieces weigh a total of 37 troy ounces. Estimate Value $600 - 1,000

Two Vintage Sterling Silver Flasks Including One From Tiffany & Co. Two (2) vintage sterling silver flasks. The best is a 1930s Tiffany & Co boasting an extremely fine, hammered finish. Holding about a pint, this flask measures 7" x 4", weighs 13 ozt., appears to be never used and with the bottom flat, flask can stand upright. The initials HDD have been engraved in center panel and is near mint. The other though is also quite handsome incorporating a tailored, pin-stripe design. Flask measures 7¼ x 5¾ and weighs 10.75 ozt, initials BDR and exhibits minimal evidence of use. Combined weight just at 24 ozt. Estimate Value $500 - 700
