Lot 1320
1906. NGC graded Proof 67 Ultra Cameo. Rich golden toning on this rare Proof coin. Not only is the mintage tiny at 77 pieces, but precious few show this degree of contrast, especially so to earn the Ultra Cameo designation from NGC. Well struck and very choice with this likely one of the very finest examples to survive of this scarce Proof issue. Of the 77 pieces originally struck, there are perhaps 40 around today. Gems of course are the most sought after, and of course Gems with this kind of contrast are the best one can hope to find. If you have been looking for a just right "type" or date issue to stand mountains above everyone else, then here is a coin for your set. Pop 2; 2 finer, 1 in 67 Star, 1 in 67+ Star. (PCGS # 88846) Estimate Value $60,000 - UP
