Documented and Researched Order of the Red Banner of Labor of Azerbaijan. Award # 46. Silver base with hammer and sickle in gold. Red and white enamels. Comes with original numbered silver screwback nut (award number 46 is stamped on it), and silver plate. Accompanied by original blue case of issue. Awarded to comrade Teimur Imam Kuli Ogli Kuliev – a distinguished and prominent political figure of the early USSR era, Head of the Council of People's Commissars of Azerbaijan (1937-1953), Head of Council of Ministers of Azerbaijan (1953-1954). The Order comes with 9" x 13" Gramota from the Supreme Council of Azerbaijan Republic, confirming the awarding of comrade Kuliev with this Order. Additionally, the Order comes with an extra large 12" x 16" Gramota from Central Committee of Azerbaijan Republic, confirming the same. Also, the Order comes with 2 cabinet photos of recipient (one with him wearing this order, together with XV years NKVD badge), and 3 other relevant photos. Finally, the set comes with a document, confirming that comrade Kuliev was awarded with honorary weapon "Nagant", by OGPU decree 1180, as of Dec. 20, 1932. Herf 1.7. Kuts pp. 97-102. Documented Order of the Red Banner of Labor of Trans-Caucasus. Award # 37. Silver. Red and white enamels. Screwback. Quality multi-piece construction. Comes with original numbered silver plate and silver small nut. The Order’s Book (contains the photo of a recipient wearing this order) shows that it was awarded to comrade Ali-Kuli Dzhafarov (shock worker machinist, according to Kutsenko’s book). Herf 1.25. Kuts pp. 341-355. Only about 150 issued. Extremely rare and historically important. Condition: Outstanding condition, with only a small area of repair at the lower part of the flag, and a small crack in white enamel next to anvil. Elusive as such. Estimate $25,000UP

Order of the Red Banner of Labor of Abkhazia SSR. Award # 1. Gold, silver, multi-color enamels. Screwback. Magnificent craftsmanship and design, complex multi-piece construction. The sun and hammer/sickle are made of pure gold! Massive badge, measuring 46mm in width by 51mm in height. Unpublished in all known standard references, including Herfurth, A. Kutsenko, and N. Strekalov. No data available on total number manufactured, but rumored to be awarded only twice! Unique and historically important. Condition: Outstanding and apparently unworn. Order of the Red Star of Bukhara 1st Class. Unnumbered. 1922. Gold-plated silver. Dark blue enamels. Pinback. Massive multi-piece construction, weighting 38.75 grams, and measuring 74.5mm in width, 71.7mm in height, with center medallion diameter of 41.5mm. Herf 1.24.1 (gold-plated silver). Kuts pp. 163-192. Around 50 pieces were awarded to top Red Army Commanders, including Joseph Stalin. Extremely rare and very well preserved. Among the best survived specimens of this extraordinary and historically important award.
