Pope Francis. (1936 -). Born Jorge Mario Bergoglio, Pope Francis is the 266th and current Pope of the Roman Catholic Church. His chosen name honors Saint Francis of Assisi. He is the first Jesuit Pope and the first from the Americas. A wonderful autograph obtained during his New York City visit in September of 2015, a fine, large signature in blue felt tip pen, on a page, 10½ x 8", carefully removed from a commemorative edition of "Us Weekly" issued in advance of the papal visit. $500 - 800
