Two Large 19th Century Hand Hammered Copper Cooking Vessels. Two large and very heavy 19th century hand hammered copper cooking vessels. These two pieces are absolutely magnificent and their exteriors in excellent condition. The large single handled pot stands 10 inches tall and nine inches in diameter at the base. Outstanding craftsmanship especially the "dove tailed" seamwork along the side burnished perfectly; no uneven edges to the touch. Interior appears to be tin and has accumulated some lime residue at bottom. The other lidded pot stands 8" tall, and 9 inches in diameter at base. It too is lined in tin but has a great deal of lime along sides and base is covered with something seriously baked on. Underneath pot, heavily blackened from use. $600 - 1,000

18th Century European Pewter Beer Flagon dated 1746. Antique European pewter beer tankard/flagon. Standing 12¾ inches tall and 6 inches in diameter at base. Tankard has simple slat like designs all around cylinder with simple flora at base and lip. There is a touchmark on handle that is extremely difficult to make out. We make out possibly individual letters of M D and C and some sort of a design. Etched on tankard are the letters F and B, then below V. Heffein then 1746. There appears to have been a decades old repair of a hole and another where handle may have pulled out but very well done where it barely impacted the exterior. All together a very handsome piece. $300 - 500
