Superb Poker Game Tintype ca. 1870s and Two Mother-of-Pearl Poker Chips. One-sixth plate, extremely clean tintype image of four men playing poker with the obligatory bottle of whiskey on the table. Tintype is housed in a worn half-case with gilt surround. Accompanied by two mother-of-pearl poker chips, each 1¼" in diameter and very much of the period. $300 - 400

Engravings of A Man and Woman (Hawaiian) ca. 18th Century. Two hand-colored engravings: "Portrait of A Man of the Sandwich Islands with his Helmet," by Nobel, and "A Young Woman of the Sandwich Islands," c. late 18th century, both 9" x 6½", both matted to 15" x 12½". Excellent condition and very attractive, London Publishing, Paternoster Row. Sandwich Islands is the name given by James Cook in 1778 for the Hawaiian Islands. $300 - 400
