1858 Small Letters NGC Proof 65. NGC graded Proof 65 PQ. CAC. Housed in an Old Style Holder. A lovely coin that shows classic light tan copper-nickel surfaces that are free of specks or similar distractions. The strike is precise not only on the legends and devices, but right up to the Eagle's breast as well as his wing tips. This is a fantastic type coin that was issued for only parts of three years, and precious few survive at all, especially at the Gem level. Pop 72; 16 finer, 15 in 66, 1 in 66 Star.
