Includes 1971 Space Vehicle Operational Design Criteria Manual that appears to be looking ahead to developing the Shuttle (not named yet), very interesting notebook started in 1970 that seems to be pre-ALT material but last page relates to LM from 1966, notebook with ALT notations, ALT FAM Pitches templates, ALT Program Test Plan templates (apparently received from Chris Kraft), ALT Flight Operations Facilities Requirements and more. Many handwritten notations and extensive writings. Unique holding and important historical look at the road that led to the successful Space Shuttle. Estimated Value $600 - 800

Origin is unknown, but appears to be a body design that was made in Shuttle's earliest days, probably in late 1970s. Made of painted and unpainted metal. 1970s-1980s toxic fuel handler's 'SCAPE' suit. SCAPE stands for Self Contained Atmospheric Protective Ensemble and is original from Kennedy Space Center. This well used suit was worn when handling fueling propellants, fueling rockets, Shuttles and so forth. Helmet has large numbers '258' on each side and has crack on the back. Inside rubber hoses are deteriorated as one would expect. Does not include boots, gloves, & other excessories. This genuine NASA late Apollo to early Shuttle era suit is an interesting addition to any space collection. Includes Ken Havekotte COA. Estimated Value $250 - 500

1995 STS-74 FLOWN NASA Transfer Bag. FLOWN on multiple missions on Shuttle Atlantis and MIR, this Transfer Bag is class I flight hardware with NASA part #SDD46112873-711 serial #1015 as labeled on side. Bag was used during Phase I Space Shuttle-MIR Program. NASA paperwork indicates this bag was FLOWN on numerous flights to MIR including STS-74, 79 and 86. Bag sides bear two pockets with clear plastic cover. Contents of bag would be contained on red cards, in English or in Russian, indicating bag was to be transferred from Shuttle to MIR. After bag transference for return on Shuttle, blue card was used and indicated items being returned. Bag measures 19"x14" and is 8" deep with two brass zippers, one per side. Also included, for illustration purposes only, is photo showing two bags in SpaceHab Module in Atlantis's cargo bay, Also includes large NASA pink Parts Bag that transfer bag was stored in, NASA Parts ID Tag, NASA flight history and three 4"x6" photos taken of a set of three container contents cards. 1990s NASA In-Suit Doppler Mockup. Part #199720075 serial #003, Ins-Suit Doppler Ultrasound was used for determining risk of decompression and were tested during STS-83 & STS-87 missions in 1997. Mockup is contained in original NASA Parts Bag and is accompanied by three ISD Pockets, two different, with two in their original NASA Pink Parts Bag. Pockets wee used to house a spacesuit In-Suit Doppler Ultrasound. Overall objective of this RME was to evaluate the possibility of reduced pre-breathe requirements for EVA, without compromising operational safety or increasing risk of decompression sickness (DCS) to astronauts. 2002 STS-113 FLOWN Sony PD100A Camcorder. This camcorder is Class I flight hardware NASA part #SDZ39129262-303 s/n 1016. Parts ID label was removed fom the top of the camcorder by NASA prior to disposal, however, both the part # and s/n can be seen on the disposal label. Camcorder FLOWN on at least one Shuttle mission, Atlantis STS-113 November 23 to December 7, 2002. Photo of similar Sony PD100A camcorder (not the one in this lot) in use on a Shuttle flight is included. PDF of the instruction manual is also included. Likely FLOWN Shuttle NASA custom ordered Nikon F5 EVA Space Camera. This camera is Class I flight hardware with NASA Part #SEF33110611-307 serial #1028 (label on back of camera). Nikon delivered 35 of these modified F5 35mm film camera bodies to NASA around 1999. This camera includes a Nikon Multi-Control Function Data Back MF-28 to record date, time and other info onto the film at the time of exposure. Also included is a custom manufactured stainless steel quick release mounting plate that was designed to function with other NASA photography equipment and to allow hands free and time lapse photography as well as mounting to the astronaut equipment rack during spacewalks. The quick release plate allowed astronauts the ability to detach the camera, for use in taking photos, from the equipment rack while wearing spacesuit gloves. Nikon F5 was the first camera NASA used for the dual purpose of documenting activities inside the Space Shuttle and ISS as well as being used by astronauts on spacewalks. When used on EVA, a Nikon Sports Finder was used for increased visibility by helmeted astronauts. As many as five Nikon F5s were flown on each Space Shuttle mission. There is no flight history available for this camera. Included is a NASA pink Parts Bag. The camera is in excellent condition and is fully functinal with addition of batter ies. 2000s Shuttle FLOWN NASA IBM ThinkPad model 760XD. Flight laptop part number SDZ39129262-301 s/n 6036. 760XD flight laptops were flown on Space Shuttle and ISS and were manufactured to function on the Space Shuttle's 28 volt power system via DC power cable. Five Velcro strips on the bottom of the laptop are used to secure the laptop to the Expansion Assembly Dock during flight. To provide AC power to the laptop requires Expansion Assembly Dock (not included) to be connected to the laptop. This NASA modified laptop cannot be directly connected to an AC power source. Laptop contains a probably unflown CD ROM drive with non-matching serial number. Laptop does not include hard drive, software, power cord or battery. Laptop was purchased as NASA surplus. Measures approximately 32"x34" and 1½" thick and includes numerous attchment pins of two different types, two paper labels attached and one parts ID label covered by gold acrylic Kapton film. Blankets were part of passive thermal control system that helps maintain temperature of the orbiter spacecraft, systems and components within their temperature limits.
