Lot 523		Roman Bronze Signet Ring, ca. 300 BC. A bronze ring cast with the engraved image of a Roman goddess standing facing with head turned right, wearing a plumed helmet. She holds a scepter to her right and a shield at her feet on the left. The engraving is beautifully executed in the detail of the dress. The ring is broken at the shank but the bezel area with the engraving is free from any imperfections. Weighs: 14.2. Measures: 22 X 26 mm. Sumerian collared stamp seal with a high dome and flat base engraved with a striding ibex surrounded by drilled dot decoration fashioned from a polished, black and white veined hard stone. Ca. late Uruk-Jemdet Nasr period, 3300-2900 B.C. ¾" diameter at base (one collar chipped). Lot 530		Sumerian Prism Seal. Sumerian three-sided prism seal of a light beige smooth stone drilled through the long axis for suspension. The three faces of the seal form slightly rounded rectangles: the first bears the image of a roaring lion with tail raised over its back, the second shows a crouching hare with short tail and open mouth, the third bears a depiction of a tall bird standing upright with feathers and upright tall tail indicated by short strokes. Lot 534		Roman Gold Signet Ring, ca. 1st-3rd Century AD. A deep red carnelian ring engraved with a hybrid creature, with forepart of a bull coming out of a nautilus shell, and below is a mouse or rat. The seal might make references to astrology and astronomy with all the elements of the Taurus, shell, and mouse. The stone is set in an original ancient gold setting. Fine Condition. Lot 542		A lot of Bronze Rings, ca. 3rd-4th Century AD. Consists of: Nine signet rings, one signet seal, and one bead, all bronze. The rings were cast with images engraved on some of the bezels. The signets include some with trees, one with an anchor, and another has Greek letters "ZOH" and "KAΓA". The signet seal has a winged horse with foreleg raised and facing left. Varying ring sizes.
