Roman Bronze Signet Ring, ca. 300 BC. A bronze ring cast with the engraved image of a Roman goddess standing facing with head turned right, wearing a plumed helmet. She holds a scepter to her right and a shield at her feet on the left. The engraving is beautifully executed in the detail of the dress. The ring is broken at the shank but the bezel area with the engraving is free from any imperfections. Weighs: 14.2. Measures: 22 X 26 mm. Estimated Value $300 - 350

Sumerian collared stamp seal with a high dome and flat base engraved with a striding ibex surrounded by drilled dot decoration fashioned from a polished, black and white veined hard stone. Ca. late Uruk-Jemdet Nasr period, 3300-2900 B.C. ¾" diameter at base (one collar chipped). Roman Gold Signet Ring, ca. 1st-3rd Century AD. A deep red carnelian ring engraved with a hybrid creature, with forepart of a bull coming out of a nautilus shell, and below is a mouse or rat. The seal might make references to astrology and astronomy with all the elements of the Taurus, shell, and mouse. The stone is set in an original ancient gold setting. Fine Condition.
