Silent Screen Legend Harold Lloyd's Perfect Score Bowling Trophy, 1940. Millions know Harold Lloyd's career as one of the legendary stars of early cinema, but few may know just what an avid bowler he was carrying an average of around 195. So much so he was a partner in a bowling complex in LA called Llo-Da-Mar bowling lanes which operated for thirty years in Santa Monica, and now the original building has been re-purposed maintaining the sleek modern design. Lloyd used a specially drilled ball to accommodate a hand injury from a premature fireworks explosion during filming. His team the Llo-Da-Mar, bowling team competed nationally in the 1940s and proved quite formidable.

Offered a trophy given to Harold Lloyd for bowling a perfect score of 300 at the Los Angeles Examiner bowling tournament in 1940. Trophy stands 9" tall, gilded pot-metal cast bowler bolted onto plastic with plate description. Estimated Value $250 - 400

Babe Ruth Signed Cover 1930, Original Hall of Famer, Paired With A Grantland Rice Signed Cover, Legendary Sportswriter. George Herman Ruth Jr. (1895 - 1948) Babe Ruth "The Bambino", "The Sultan of Swat" spent 22 seasons in baseball and is considered to be one of the greatest sports legends of all time and certainly one of the greatest ball players in history. Honus Wagner Signed Cover, 1928, Orignal Hall of Famer. Johannes Peter "Honus" Wagner (1874 - 1955) played 21 seasons of baseball, proved one of the greatest shortstops and batters in history, and playing almost entirely for the Pittsburg Pirates. Wagner served as a coach for the Pirates from 1933 - 1952 mostly as a hitting instructer. He is considered by many to be the greatest players in history and was one of the original "Immortal Five" inducted in the first Baseball Hall of Fame in 1936. His record and legacy lives on today, helped in no small measure by his baseball card issued by the American Tobacco Company (ATC) from 1909 to 1911 as part of its T206 series. Wagner refused to allow production of his baseball card to continue and now sell for hundreds of thousands if not millions. Offered here is a signed cover, a special issue commemorating the first airmail service between Atlanta and New Orleans, boldly signed by Wagner in 1928 and in his extraordinary hand, a style that calls back to a time when fine penmanship was highly regarded. Some toning otherwise excellent. Estimated Value $800 - 1,200

Ty Cobb Signed Cover, 1927, Original Hall of Famer. Tyrus Raymond Cobb (1886-1961) "The Georgia Peach" spent 22 seasons with the Detroit Tigers with his final six as a player-manager, followed by a year with the Philadelphia Athletics. He was one of the original "Immortal Five" originally inducted into the Baseball Hall of Fame in 1936 with the highest percentage of votes for almost 60 years. Cobb's batting records were nothing short of miraculous, his aggressive play legendary. He proved a very successful businessman after baseball, but he remained outspoken and opinionated true to his character. A lot has been written about his bouts of violence and possible racism, some of it true, so much has been proven outright fabrication. One thing is certain, he is considered as the best player of the dead-ball era, and generally seen as one of the greatest players of all time. Offered here is a signed commemorative cover celebrating the first airmail service in Cleveland, signed by Cobb boldly and almost dead center left of his name. Some toning, otherwise excellent. Estimated Value $800 - 1,200

Jackie Robinson Signed First Day of Issue Centenary of Baseball Stamped Cover and Photo. Jackie Robinson (#42) became the first African American to play baseball in the major leagues in 1947 for the Brooklyn Dodgers and proved to be one of the greatest to ever play. He was awarded Rookie of the Year that same year and the National League MVP in 1949. In the course of his 10 years with the The Dodgers, he advanced the cause of civil rights for black athletes and an inspiration to millions worldwide.
