Lot 909
1913 Buffalo 5C. Type 2 PCGS MS67. PCGS graded MS-67+. Well struck with lovely shades of golden toning. Tied with just three others at most as the finest of this issue as seen by PCGS and destined for an advanced Set Registry collection. The surfaces are immaculate, and the toning simply stunning of antique gold throughout. The strike is bold too, and this is the important Type 2 style where the bison was placed on a more solid piece of ground instead of a rounded mound. Exceptional! Pop 4; none finer at PCGS. (PCGS # 3921) Estimated Value $10,000-UP

1938-D Buffalo 5C PCGS MS68. PCGS graded MS-68. This coin is tied with a handful of others as the finest graded of this final year of issue. The Jefferson nickel was soon to make its appearance and most collectors focused on saving that new style. Hence the Buffalo nickels were somewhat ignored in 1938. Notice the glorious blue, teal and gold shades that grace both sides of this incredible superb gem. If you demand top quality, mind blowing eye appeal, then here it is! Pop 15; none finer at PCGS. (PCGS # 3984) Estimated Value $10,000-UP
