Lot 46
1793 C-1 or C-2 R3 Liberty Cap facing left Basal State-1. A heavily worn piece that is moderately corroded. No verdigris or contact marks, and the toning is a decent medium chocolate brown blending to olive brown in protected areas. The reverse is slick but there are enough details remaining on the obverse to say this is definitely a 1793 half cent. The Liberty Cap facing left is easy to see and faint pieces of the date and LIBERTY can be made out with some effort. A hole filler for this tough date. Estimated Value $200-UP
