Lot Photo Description Realized
Lot 1646
1876 U.S. Centennial Expo - Liberty Seated Dollar. HK-59, Rarity 6. NGC graded MS-61 Prooflike. White metal, 38 mm. From the popular but rare Liberty Seated series. Although cataloged as Rarity 6, a descent example could be more difficult to locate than one may have thought. The presented piece bears an unusual contrast between the devices and fields. Some marks, friction, and tiny pimple noticeable, but mainly probably as made. An outstanding piece comparing with available examples in the current market, if any, and will be a great addition to any advanced collection of so-called dollars. Pop 1; none finer at NGC. The solo mint state example graded at both services.
Estimated Value $500 - 550.

Lot 1647
1901-1902 South Carolina Inter-State Expo Dollar. HK-294, Rarity 5. NGC graded MS-63. Brass, 35 mm. A typically more desirable type due to the beautiful engraving on both sides. The obverse, bearing the scene of the city's port behind the winged female, serves the purpose of this issue, which was to advertise the commercial potentials of Charleston, better than the other two medals (HK-292 and HK-293), therefore makes it more identifiable and interesting. Some discoloration on the obverse, and weakly struck on the face, otherwise should grade one point higher. A glorious piece that should bring some attention. Pop 5; 13 finer, 7 in 64, 4 in 65, 2 in 66.
Estimated Value $500 - 550.
