1800 C-1 R2 VF30. Glossy light olive brown and chocolate. Smooth and attractive, essentially just lightly worn. A pair of faint hairline scratches right of the denominator are the best identifying marks, but it takes a strong glass to see them. Nicely struck MDS Manley state 3.0, with a rim narrow break over LIB.

1800 C-1 R2 F12. Possibly struck over a cut-down Large Cent. Glossy medium steel and olive brown. No notable defects. May have been struck over a spoiled large cent as there are dull elongated dentils along the rim right of the portrait with similar dentils at OF-AM. LDS, Manley state 5.0. Inspection is recommended.

1802/0 C-2 R3 Overdate 2 over 0, Reverse of 1803 PCGS graded VG10. Attractive glossy dark steel brown and chocolate. The surfaces are smooth and display only a few light contact marks, none notable. M-LDS, Manley state 4.0, with strong die rust around the date, LIBERTY, and much of the legend outside the wreath. The date and legends are complete and clear except for some weakness on HALF CENT. This piece was struck over a planchet cut from a spoiled large cent. Undertype from the cent shows under the 02 in the date and at S-OF-A. Our grade is VG7. The attribution is noted on the PCGS label. PCGS population 3; 7 finer: 1 in 15, 1 in 25, 3 in 30, 1 in 35, and 1 in 45.

1802/0 C-2 R3 Overdate 2 over 0, Reverse of 1803 NGC graded VG8. Glossy medium chocolate brown and steel. Smooth and attractive, just worn. Struck over a spoiled large cent with strong dentils from the cent showing at the rim before the face and on the opposing rim over MER. MDS, Manley state 3.0, with obvious die rust around the date and an open curl left of the date. The date is strong and the overdate feature is clear. Our grade is VG7. The attribution is noted on the NGC label.

1802/0 C-2 R3 Overdate 2 over 0, Reverse of 1803 G5. A couple points sharper but the portrait is covered with myriad light scratches, all blending perfectly into the natural toning. Otherwise the surfaces are smooth, decent for the grade. E-MDS Manley state 2.0. The curl left of the date is still complete. The date is strong and the overdate feature is obvious to the unaided eye.

Attractive lustrous light steel brown with slightly darker steel brown toning on the highpoints of the devices and traces of faded mint red showing in protected areas on the reverse. There are a few tiny contact marks on the face and neck, none visible without the aid of a glass. MDS, Manley state 3.0, with an obvious bulge at the 18 and vertical die lines in the field at BERTY. A frosty half cent with excellent eye appeal. Our grade is MS60.

The notable ones are a diagonal scratch in the field left of the lower curls and a small nick left of the upper end of the hair ribbon. E-MDS, Manley state 4.0, which Manley calls very rare. The die crack through the top of OF is especially strong over the adjacent A.

1805 C-3 R4 Small 5 with Stems F15+. Sharpness VF30 with very fine granularity covering the fields and protected areas. No verdigris or marks other than a shallow rim bruise right of the Y in LIBERTY and a tiny rim nick left of the upper part of the hair ribbon. Slightly glossy dark steel and olive with lighter steel brown highpoints. The date and legends are complete and strong except for the usual weakness at HA and CE inside the wreath. LDS, Manley state 2.0, with strong swelling in the field before the face. A sharp example of this popular "Redbook" variety, and the eye appeal is decent in spite of the imperfect surfaces.

The repunching on the 6 is visible and the reverse is rotated 30 degrees CW relative to the usual head-to-foot die orientation. Our grade is AU50.

Frosty luster shows in protected areas, especially on the reverse. The only defects are a couple tiny ticks in the field over the hair ribbon. There is some soft dirt that could be removed to bring out more of the underlying mint frost and perhaps raise the grade. E-MDS, Manley state 1.0. The repunching on the 6 is clear, the bust tip is well struck, and the reverse is rotated 65 degrees CW. A nice half cent.

Ten points sharper but lightly cleaned and nicely retoned glossy chocolate brown with a splash of dark chocolate toning on the T in CENT and lighter brown toning in protected areas on the reverse. The notable marks are a small planchet chip on the jaw and a dull contact mark in the field behind the head. Nicely struck EDS, Manley state 1.0 (which Manley calls rare). The repunching on the 7 is obvious and the dentils on the obverse are sharp.

The only notable mark is a small, shallow planchet flake on the jaw, and this flaw is visible only under strong magnification. Nicely struck E-MDS, Manley state 2.0. There are a few faint lines of very fine die rust in the field before the neck and the reverse is badly rotated 160 degrees CW, nearly upset. Our grade is VF35+, close to EF40.
