  Pop Art Greats. Signatures. A super lot of nine pieces, featuring signatures from eight of the biggest names in the Pop Art movement. Wayne Thiebaud, Mel Ramos, Alex Katz, R.B. Kitaj, Ed Ruscha, Robert Rauschenberg, Jim Dine, Claes Oldenburg and Jasper Johns. All of the artists' signatures are accompanied by color reproductions of their work. In particular, Oldenberg signed a photograph of his "Free Stamp" sculpture, Rauschenberg signed a Time Magazine cover featuring his work and Jasper Johns signed a picture of his "0 through 9." All of the items in this lot are matted and sizes range from 12 x 16" to 8½ x 12." Conditions range from very good to fine.

A stellar six item lot of Pop Artists -- we are delighted to offer the signatures of great Pop Art masters: George Segal, David Hockney, Claes Oldenberg, Larry Rivers, Jasper Johns and Robert Rauschenberg. With the exception of Segal, whose signature appears on a First Day Cover honoring Henry O. Tanner, all of the signatures appear with color reproductions of work from each artist. All of the items have been matted and sizes range from 11 x 8½" to 11 x 15" and conditions range from very good to fine.

Social content featuring Diego Rivera. Signatures. Lot of six. Diego Rivera's sense of social commentary is evident in the Fortune Magazine (March 1932) cover matted here with a clipped signature which features the inscription "Recuerdos de Diego Rivera Mexico 1945". Also included in this lot are three prints by influential Social Realist Isabel Bishop that have been matted with her signature, and two color prints signed by Raphael Soyer. All of the items have been matted and sizes range from 11½ x 9½" to 13¾ x 20." Conditions range from very good to fine.

Accompanied by a Certificate of Authenticity for the Rivera signature from R&R Enterprises; and a guarantee from Christophe Stikel Autographs for one of the Isabel Bishop signatures.

Turn of the Century Autographs. Signatures. An eclectic assortment of signatures likely collected in the late 19th and early 20th centuries, heavily weighted towards British artists and American silent screen stars. Thirty-three signatures on letters, cut from notes, and in other forms are mounted on loose black album pages and include Sir George Gilbert Scott, Samuel Prout, James Whitcomb Riley, John Brett, William Frith, Rod La Rocque, Edith Storey, Charles Kempe, and convicted murderess Florence Maybrick. Conditions vary widely, inspection is recommended.

A treasure trove for the autograph scholar, there are several signatures we are unable to decipher which offer the opportunity for research.

Two bold Peter Max signatures are matted with reproductions of "Palm Beach Lady" and "Fantasy Portrait." Two signed Hundertwasser portrait photographs are matted with "Japanese Woodcut" and "Kawakana Hospital…" Also included are the following eleven pieces signed by renowned watercolorist Dong Kingman -- ten color reproductions and one Time Magazine cover featuring one of his renderings of Hong Kong. All of the items in this lot have been matted and sizes range from 8½ x 10" to 10¼ x 17." Conditions range from very good to fine.

Wyeth Family. Signatures. In this wonderful lot of five, we are proud to offer signatures from America's first family of art. Newell C. Wyeth's bold signature has been matted with one of his book illustrations. Two Andrew Wyeth signatures; one matted with a print of "Helga - Crown of Flowers" and one (partially smudged) on the Time Magazine cover featuring his portrait (painted by Henrietta Hurd Wyeth) are included in this lot. Jamie Wyeth's signature appears once on the Time Magazine cover featuring his Jimmy Carter Man of the Year portrait and on a print of the same portrait. All of the items have been matted and are in very good to fine condition.

Instantly recognizable, the remarkable works of the Wyeth dynasty have a lasting impact. Whether the dramatic illustrations and landscapes of N. C.
