1823, 3 over 2. Small E's JR-1. NGC graded MS-65. Nice rainbow toning on both sides with flashy teal and aqua blue around the edges, russet to the centers with strong luster beneath. Early dimes like this 1823 are rarely encountered and highly prized. Good reference works exist for this series, and the dime variety book is being revised currently and updated. Once released this will bring more pressure on the finest and rarest coins like this, as more and more collectors realize how tough these are to find, and how collectible they are! Pop 8; 3 finer, 2 in 66, 1 in 66+ Star .
