Lot 1382
1859. PCGS graded MS-64. CAC Approved. Very frosty and untoned. Only 15,558 minted and despite this being a rather plentiful issue for this series, these were not saved at the time of issue. Furthermore, the much lower mintages seen in the 1880s for these offer an unusual observation. For these lower mintage dates are actually more available in high grades as many were saved. As always, the data from PCGS is quite helpful in determining the true rarity of these issues, especially dates this like this 1859 where few are offered and many trade quietly and unnonticed in the marketplace. Pop 15; 10 finer (PCGS # 7979) .
Estimated Value $10,000 - 11,000.
