3 Theatrical Programs Autographed by The Lead Stars - Katherine Hepburn, Judith Anderson and Myrna Loy. Three signed stage programs by the award winning actresses who starred in them. The first an outstanding 14 page, 11" x 8" program of A Matter of Gravity from 1976 which includes a wonderful pictoral history of Katherine Hepburn in film and stage. Signed boldly by Ms. Hepburn atop title page and very much in her unique style. The second a 1948 The Playgoer program for the Biltmore Theatre and their production of Medea autographed across the dramatic photo cover of Dame Judith Anderson. Also for those familiar with Los Angeles, the program makes for a great snapshot of late 1940s dining and entertaining history in the city. Finally from 1970 at the Huntington Hartford Theater, a signed Playgoer by star Myrna Loy in Dear Love nicely signed on front cover. These are three great pieces by actresses of stage and screen.

Rare collection of signatures from the geniuses behind the cameras in the early days of silent cinema and talkies. Collection includes Charlie Chaplin, signature acquired in person from Mr. Morley when he accompanied Martha Ray to visit Chaplin at his Beverly Hills hotel in 1972 to receive his Honorary Award Oscar. Also included, a signed check by D.W. Griffith, a signed autographed page by Cecil B. DeMille and a signed piece of textured stationary by Josef Von Sternberg. A remarkable collection of the titans of early cinema in this collection of four.

Second, a rather snarky signed letter by famed columnist Walter Winchell thanking someone for his interest then proceeds to be quite dismissive. Also a signed letter by legendary producer and studio head Walter Wanger, to producer/director Mark Sandrich (Top Hat) congratulating him on an industry meeting. Finally a remarkable three page signed letter from producer Darry F. Zanuck, not about the Hollywood Industry but the Presidential race involving Dwight Eisenhower and even Richard Nixon to a political operative in Los Angeles proving absolutely fascinating reading. Also included are signed cards or cuts by Hedda Hopper (columnist), Samuel Goldwyn (Producer), Cubby Broccoli (Producer of Bond Films), Jean Herscholt (Actor/philanthropist), Sid Grauman, legendary Hollywood theater owner (including the famous Chinese Theater), and Sydney Guilaroff one of the industry's most lauded and famous hairstylist during the Golden Age of Hollywood.

A dream collection of related signatures of cast and production to Gone With The Wind including a signed check with a strong signature by Clark Gable (Rhett Butler), an equally bold signed check by producer, David O. Selznick made payable to actor Charles Boyer dated 1937, two (2) signed letters by Olivia de Havilland (Melanie Hamilton), one actually discussing the disappointing quality of the GWTW merchandise from The Franklin Mint and their advertising brochures, but a second letter is included from Ms. de Havilland for it boasts a large and beautiful signature from the legendary actress. The remaining collecction are cuts and include Butterfly McQueen (Prissy), Ann Rutherford (Carreen O'Hara), Mary Anderson (Maybelle Merriwether), two signatures from Fred Crane (Stuart Tarleton), Eric Linden (Amputation scene), William Bakewell (Mounted Officer), and the great character actor and AA winner, Richard Farnsworth (uncredited soldier). Jayne Mansfield one of the original blonde bombshell icons of the 1950s actually got her start on Broadway and transitioned very successfully to film and television. Mansfield proved herself a winner time and again in such wonderful 1950’s comedies such as Will Success Spoil Rock Hunter? The Girl Can’t Help It and The Sheriff of Fractured Jaw. She then went on to conquer television in numerous memorable appearances and then Vegas becoming one of the top headliners in the early 1960s. Jean Harlow - Vintage Original Photograph by Mitchell Studios Modeling Clothes for Milgrim's Department Stores NYC. Jean Harlow, "The Platinum Blonde" proved one of the greatest stars of 1930's cinema with scores of hits beginning with Howard Hughes casting her in Hell's Angels then he continued successes with such films as The Public Enemy, Platinum Blonde, Red Dust and many others, only to be cut down tragically with kidney disease. Offered is a stunning, full length image of Harlow by Herbert Mitchell for Milgrim's Specialty Department Stores in NYC. Sally Milgrim was one of the first clothing designers to use celebrities to advertise her ready-to-wear line of clothing. This 8" x 10" image from the private collection of Herbert Mitchell Studios is a double-weight portrait stamped on verso "Credit Mitchell Studios NYC" printed in warm sepia. This is an outstanding image of Harlow, with photo in excellent condition nicely matted and framed to a total of 14" x 17".

Jolson, Al (1886-1950) American singer, film actor, and comedian. At the peak of his career, he was proclaimed "The World's Greatest Entertainer." Inscribed and Signed Sheet Music for "California Here I Come," which Jolson co-wrote. Jolson has signed across his picture on the cover. Sheet music measures 12" x 9", c. 1920s. Matted with a Decca 78 vinyl recording of the song, sung by Jolson, and one page of the sheet music. Attractively framed to an overall size of 34" x 21". Light age toning, ortherwise in very good condition.

Marilyn Monroe Inscribed and Signed Souvenir Book From BUS STOP. In 1956 Marilyn Monroe produced and starred in the film Bus Stop, based on the Tony Nominated stage play by William Inge. Because of Monroe's international success, a 96 page book, "Bus Stop" was published in the UK which included a 23 page distillation of the story, 40 pages of behind the scenes photos, and a career overview of Monroe. Book has been inscribed to a fan on the upper left hand corner and signed "Love Marilyn Monroe" Signature and inscription are bold, written in blue fountain pen, and in excellent condition, as is the book. A very nice piece for collectors of Marilyn Monroe ephemera.

Rare Signatures of Stan Laurel and Oliver Hardy on Will Rogers Commemoration Cover, 1948. Stan Laurel and Oliver Hardy beautifully executed signatures on an original Will Roger's First Day of Issue commemorative stamp/envelope in 1948. Having both Laurel and Hardy's signatures on a single piece is highly desirable and these are both very nice. Piece is archivally mounted in a presentation frame measuring 19" x 16" complete with a vintage re-strike from one of their numerous films. Examined in frame and in excellent condition.

All are signed 8" x 10" photos save for the Elton John which is a 24 page, 9" x 12" color program which gives a a career overview leading up to his debut of AIDA on Broadway, very nicely signed on a page that is indeed a full color portrait of John, but by design, a gold toned printed flap can be folded over splitting the image half color, half gold tone. Clearly the best signed photo in the collection is the fantatic portrait of Ringo Starr very nicely signed with extra flourish. Also included ar fine portraits of Brian Wilson, Jimmy Buffett nicely signed and a circa 1970's group portrait of the rock band, KISS signed by Gene Simmons.
