Two part construction, superimposed part gilt bronze, reverse with screw. The badge's design is two crossed cannons with a Royal crown on top and the monogram "M" in the center. Dates "1856-1906" below. Badge with monogram of Grand Duke Michael Nikolaevich to commemorate the 50th anniversary of his serving as Inspector General of the Artillery, instituted in 1906. Overall good condition, toned. The back screw is somewhat crudely re-attached. the back plate is missing.
