FLOWN SRB Shock Absorber For Forward Separation Bold. Flown section of metallic honeycomb material shock absorber (6" tall, 6" diameter) for SRB separation from the Shuttle External Tank. When the explosive bolt is fired, the SRB side of the bold explodes back into this shock absorber and the deep indentation in the material is in the shape of the nut on the bolt which explosively impacted the material. The ET side has similar shock absorbers but they are all in the Indian Ocean.

c.1980s Likely Flown Shuttle Blankets. Two (2) blankets apparently pulled off of space craft. both have pins, 2" to 3", used to attach blankets. First is 21x5xq" and second is 17x5x2.5". Both are odd shaped with max dimensions 27x8" and 21x9", respectively, and both about 2.5" thick. Both bear two sets of number with one set on white tape, probably attached during removal. Obtained by consignor at White Sands NASA facility. One shows separated seams and some damage likely from removal process from flown assemblies. Both probably flown.

1980s-2000s IMB Thinkpads, One Likely Flown. Two thingpads, first is likely flown (velcro pieces) IB Thinkpad 760XD, flight laptop part number SDZ39129262-303 s/n 5005. Original NASA cost was $4265. 760XD laptops were flown on shuttle and ISS. Laptop does not include hard drive, power cord or battery. Second is GFE (Ground Flight Engineering) IBM thinkpad 760XD. GFE laptops were used for engineering purposes including sofrware testing by contractors and others with payload requiring software loaded on laptops. GFE laptops are not configured for flight. Laptop does not include hard drive, power cord, CD/floppy drive or battery. The laptops were purchased as NASA surplus and have been well used.

STS-28, 33, 31 (Hubble launch), 37, 40, 41, 42, 43, 44, 45, 46, 49 (Endeavor first flight), 52, 88 (ISS), 90, 92, 96 and 99. Data module is attached to the top of Hasselblad 70mm film magazine (part of Hasselblad 553 ELS space camera). It prints 32 alpha numeric characters along edge of film frame at time of exposure. Data recorded includes Greenwich mean time, film roll, frame number and shuttle mission number. Included is NASA parts tag attached to original parts bag and NASA reports showing flights.

This two page, two sided, cue card (9.5x15") was used in mission control center during STS-1 flight simulations and real-time during STS-2 mission. Flight Trajectory Officer ran the Abort Regional Determinator, that was the ground processor computer that computed deta velocity margins. Red highlights indicate "Abort Mode Boundaries." Greatly detailed such as RTLS (Return to Launch Site) on page 2. This card played a significant role in MCC launching, monitoring and "working" each shuttle mission. They contain invaluable information for a successful flight. We have never seen Cue Cards used in MCC offered previously. Unique.

The lights monitored key events on-board the spacecraft and monitored computer processing activity by the Mission Operations Computer (MOC) for other events or possible contingencies. They represent variable event overlays or in the vernacular of Flight Controllers "Digital Display Drivers" (DDD's). These particular DDD''s were utilized on early Shuttle flights (2 are noted "FLIGHT 001" for STS-1). They were utilized to support trajectory operations for all phases of flight: Prelaunch/ Ascent phase; Orbital operations phase; and Deorbit/ Entry phase. On the Flight Dynamics Officer's Console they served as a Heads-Up Display feature with color coded lighting for significant telemetered vehicle events impacting the trajectory plus health and status of ground trajectory processors supporting number crunching in MOC. (RTLS=Return to Landing Site, AOA=Abort Once Around, SSME=Space Shuttle Main engine, etc.) Additional notes accompany the cards along with a COA and copy of NASA memo on DDD's. These are the first STS-1 DDD's we have seen offered and few are thought to exist.
