1883 Hawaiian Dollar NGC graded XF Details. Improperly cleaned. Light even toning. Portrait of King Kalakaua I (r. 1874-91). Only a single year's coinage was made for the Hawaiian Kingdom, with dimes, quarter dollars, half dollars, and silver dollars minted at the San Francisco Mint. The coins were made to the same standard as regular United States coins of the period. Most Hawaiian Dollars were melted after the Islands became a U.S. Territory in 1898 (PCGS # 10995) .
