1971, Apollo 14 Safety Line Piece FLOWN to Lunar Surface. Laminated presentation card (2.5x3.25") bearing 1" section of safetyline flown to the lunar surface during Apollo 14 mission. This roll of safety line was carried on the astronaut's lunar surface pull-cart and was to used to rescue a fellow astronaut that may have, for instance, fallen into a deep crater. This roll was supposed to be left on the Moon but was brought back to Earth where these cards were made for space workers in appreciation for their efforts. Excellent condition.
