American Art Glass - Tidepool by James E. Nowak. A magnificent full bodied handblown work of art. This work is alive with intense colors, bursting with flora and fauna. In superb condition and on a custom stand. Diameter: 23". Nowak's work was inspired by his good friend and collegue, Dale Chihuly whom he studied under. Both Chihuly and Nowak still live in Seattle, Washington. Estimated Value $600 - 800

Lot 478
A large Desk Stamp, Finely Carved in Virtually Flawless Quartz Crystal. Probably German, c. 1885-1915. This splendidly realized seal in clean, optical grade quartz. Stamp is oval in section, with think plate for the engraved seal, a stalk with moldings, and a tapered and faceted handle. The seal engraved with a ducal crest (crowned helmet of a knight), above quartered shield with slanding bars and two scenes of three mountains. The motto beneath: "Nec Aspeera Terrent." Perhaps a display piece or a commission never picked up, the stamp absolutely pristine and without wear. A fabulous bibelot from a more civilized era! Height: 3½". Estimated Value $400 - 500
