Bronze Plaque of David Ben Gurion and Itzhak Ben-Zvi, c. Early 1950s. 7¾ x 4 in. At right is a bust of David Ben Gurion (1876-1973), the founder of the state of Israel and first prime minister (1948-1954), facing left; at left is a bust of Itzhak Ben-Zvi (1884-1963) second president of Israel (1952-63), facing forward. Between the two is a holder for toothpicks or matches. A novelty item, celebrating the two early Israeli statesmen.
