Kanishka promoted Buddhism and depicted the Buddha on his gold and bronze coinage, including a gold type which shows the Buddha standing and the legend BoDdo. The wheel (cakra) is a symbol representing the Buddhist cyclical view of life, wherein death does not terminate life and commence an equally linear afterlife, but both follows and precedes life; a transitional stage terminating in rebirth. Hence the wheel, commonly called "the wheel of life" or "the wheel of becoming," symbolizes eternal life achieved through reincarnation. Estimated Value $10,000 - 15,000
