Lot 1603
1911 $5 Indian. PCGS graded MS-64. CAC Approved. Nicely toned and a Premium Quality coin for the designated grade. Tremendous detail from a very positive strike, which collectors prefer to see than wishy-washy detail as on a few of the branch mint issues from this decade; furthermore, the surfaces show splendid golden hues. No need to worry about an unsuccessful strike on the Indian’s feathers or the eagle’s plumage left by the rebound of the dies that coined this, since even a cursory examination of the piece reveals nice clarity of detail, including the centers (PCGS # 8520) .
Estimated Value $2,500 - 2,600.
