Lot 1733
1886 NGC graded Unc Details. Only 1,000 minted. Improperly cleaned, although this is almost unnoticed. The prooflike field does show minor scuffing before Liberty. There is also a reddish toned area at the rim on the obverse above ER of AMERICA. On the reverse, the only mark of note is a small diagonal line to the right of the 6 in the date. Struck with mathematical precision by the dies, which counts for much in a series that often shows weakly made coins (PCGS # 8008) .
Estimated Value $3,000 - 3,200.
